Interior Design Jobs Are Dream Jobs
Lately, I got an unique application for interior design advice.
A husband wanted to surprise his wife for her birthday with a restyling of their living room and bedroom! It was his wife who got the idea of restyling their house first. She had read about the possibility of employing a stylist for interior design jobs. Although his wife thought the house they live in quite beautiful, she discovered that it lacked warmth and atmosphere. She discussed this with her husband, as it seemed a great idea to her. The husband seemed indifferent to this idea and said it would be better to manage without a designer. Even though he said it to his wife, he secretly mailed the interior tipster the following day. As the client was far away from me and had honored me with this opportunity, I took an appointment for one hour with him on a day when his wife was not home.
It was like a secret rendezvous! Together, we went through the entire house, and the problems were talked about. The base of the house was fine and only additions were required to make it coherent overall. The tips and advice I put forward were consistent with the needs and tastes of the customer and his wife. Our second meeting took place at an interior retailer. We wisely selected new chairs for the dining space, lamps, pillows and a carpet. It was decided with the interior retailers, that the orders would be in the warehouse and would be picked up the day before the restyling.
Any ideas were implemented by a group of people who were invited by the husband. On the next day at 9 am, the family (husband, parents) was ready, and they started painting a wall suspension, and setting up new lighting in the bedroom and living room. Holes were drilled and dimmers were installed. When the wall was finally finished, I could get to work. Mother took the vacuum cleaner and collectively we cleaned up everything. The arrangement of the seating room was renewed to a more open style. The table lamps in the living room were put together and installed. The toys of the daughter got a permanent place in the closet. The accessories owned by them were used in the new layout. New artworks were hung. Flowers in the colors of the cushions and accessories gave the final touch. Around 4 pm the styling was done, and I returned home. I anxiously waited to see what the wife's reaction would be. It was very exciting!
The redeeming word came in an email from the woman. She was very excited! In her own words she wrote: "We had the pleasure of experiencing". It was gratifying that such a successful action came from a satisfied client. And what a lovely man to present such a thing to his wife! Surely it is a good idea for Mother's Day too!
