Wii Rock Band 2, the actual sensational, musical technology Nintendo game has showed up. So have the other versions for Xbox 360. Been playing ever since xBox 360 Rock Band 1, and have had the enjoyment of experiencing those insane gotchas with Rock Band xBox 360 2.
(1) Brand new tour mode rock band xbox: Gotten through the first two locations (accessible by train) last week. I've got to say it's significantly better now, rather than being forced to spend time playing a certain song now they give you some options for each location. Each gig will present to you actually what you would like to choose to play, things I saw was:
- Random set list (nevertheless on top of the screen you can see the 2 songs that you have selected, instead of waiting until you are going to play to see the songs)
- Randomly or select 90s music (some have been random 90s genre song, or you could select what songs you want to play from that genre).
- Random or select classic rock songs!
(2) Triumphs during game play: So, rather than playing to collect stars you're also gathering spades. By which at one gig you had to get as many overdrives during the song, or even another gig you'd been going for accuracy and reliability. Definitely adds to the game play I feel.
(3) Folks are now able to jump in or out during the song, no more being forced to start over! This will be put to the test this lovely weekend, our son (17) is having his birthday celebration party this weekend along with a bunch of his pals.
(4) Song interface is way better and much easier to use.
If you're Rock band fan, this is a definite should have as you will not be disappointed!
